While that mobile “waterproof” became fashionable. Large companies struggle to make a difference with unique features that distinguish their ‘smartphones‘ competition. And that’s what they thought the Japanese companies Kyocera and KDDI, have launched Rafre Worthy, a device that can be washed with soap and water.

Submersible and waterproof phones are not new. Even though it is a trend that has been losing steam, Sony has in the market with several terminals such as the Xperia M2 or Z5 Aqua Premium Xperia. The Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC Desire Eye or the Moto G are also waterproof.

However, Worthy Rafre is different. And not for their water resistance but by the possibility to wash with soap. Nobody comes up to take the “smartphone” dirty and put it under the faucet like we were scrubbing a dish. However, this really can be done with mobile Kyocera:

This “smartphone” midrange can be a good Christmas gift. According to the company, the phone is able to withstand hot water at 43 degrees and advise dry with a soft cloth.

The 5–inch screen has a Drag on trail X glass that offers high resistance to scratches and dings. It has 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage (expandable with microSD up to 128 GB), 3000 mAh battery, front of 2 megapixel,Android 5.1 13 megapixel main camera and LTE connectivity.

For now, Worthy Rafre just launched in Japan in three colors (light blue or pink, white) at an approximate price of 400 euros. We do not know is whether it will come to other countries
